The Healin Hub ("we," "us," or "our") operates a directory that helps consumers find independent health, wellness, and cosmetic service providers, and helps providers list their businesses so clients can find them. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to two kinds of visitors: consumers who browse or search the directory and contact providers, and providers who create an account to submit and manage a business listing.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information.
- Provider account information. When a provider creates an account, we collect an email address and name to authenticate the account and manage the listing associated with it.
- Listing information. Providers submit business details such as business name, description, category, services, address, contact information, and photos. Listing information is displayed publicly in the directory.
- Lead and contact messages.When a consumer contacts a provider through the directory, we collect the consumer's name, email, phone number, and message, and route that information to the provider so they can respond.
- Search location queries. When a consumer searches by city or zip code, we store that query and a cached geocoded location so we can show nearby results quickly on future searches.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and maintain provider accounts and listings.
- Display listings and search results to consumers, including distance-based results.
- Deliver lead messages from consumers to the provider they contacted.
- Improve search performance by caching geocoded location data.
- Review submitted listings before they are published, and monitor for misuse.
- Communicate with providers about their account or listing.
How information is shared
Listing information is public by design, since the purpose of the directory is to help consumers find providers. Lead messages, including a consumer's name, email, phone number, and message, are shared with the specific provider the consumer contacted.
We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not share provider account information or consumer lead information with other providers, advertisers, or data brokers.
We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform, such as our hosting and authentication provider, Supabase, which stores account and listing data on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of The Healin Hub or others.
Cookies
We use cookies only as needed to keep provider accounts signed in and to maintain authentication sessions. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Data storage and security
Account and listing data are hosted with Supabase, which provides authentication and database infrastructure for the platform. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect, though no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Data retention
We retain provider account and listing information for as long as the account is active. We retain lead messages long enough for providers to respond to and follow up with consumers. Cached search location data is retained to speed up future searches and does not identify an individual consumer.
Your choices
- Providers can update or remove their listing at any time by contacting us or through their account.
- Providers can request deletion of their account and associated data.
- Consumers who send a lead message can ask us to remove that message from our records.
Children's privacy
The Healin Hub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
